Default Speaking of peep sights

I have come to really like the old T/C model 7194 peep sights and have them on 3 of my Hawken rifles. But they are getting about as rare as hen's teeth and when you do find them they cost quite a few bucks.
I see Williams makes the WGRS peep sight that replaces the rear sight on the rifles. Has anyone ever tried these sights. My concern would be the ability to pick up the aperature that far from the eye unless it is really big.
Any info on these would be appreciated.
