Ron I forgot to mention that in the pic with you and the walleye the scenery is absolutely beautiful! We fish 2 main Tournaments in the summer, one in June the (southtowns walleye tournament) that last for 9 days and has over $22K in cash and prizes. This one has 200 places for the biggest fish on down and each day there's corporate sponsor prizes for the biggest fish caught on there product, during this tournament we usually catch over 200 walleye, but only keep the big one's if there a money fish, then keep the 3-4lb one's for eating.
Then in July there's a 2 day tournament the (Can-Am) it's a Canadian, American tournament and you can have either a 2 or 4 man team and consist of the top 5 biggest fish per team you catch each day from your boat, so after the 2 days your top 10 fish are totaled up. The winning team usually has a weight of around 85-90++lbs for there top 10 heaviest fish.
So between these 2 tournaments our freezers are pretty full of walleye for the summer and mabey into the winter, then we do some pearch fishing for a few days when there in, those are even better eating than walleye. Have you ever tried (Walleye Cheeks)???? There's a piece of meat on the walleye's cheek about the size of a quarter on top of the gill plate, you cut that off and save em untill you have a bunch of them, then you boil up some beer and water and put the cheeks in there for a little while untill there done, then have them with some butter, they taste like Lobster.
