The CVA BH209 QRBP is almost an exact dimensional copy of the Omega breech plug. As such it certainly will work excellently igniting BH. It is hard for me to imagine any one ever having a delay or fail to fire whilst using this plug. This plug without doubt will work. However.

However, i do have an issue with the design of this plug. The flame channel is much too short. They made the flame channel too short. It wasn't necessary. My testing in sub-zero weather has shown to me without any doubt, that the flame channel doesn't need to be so short.

Neither one of these plug will ever fail to ignite BH.

Their flame channel is longer than the BH209 CVA plug. In my mind, the perfect QRBP would locate the flash hole half as far from the end of the plug as CVA placed it. This 'perfect' QRBP would be able to absorb more flame channel plugging carbon, before a required cleaning, and would be every bit as reliable as the plug CVA is selling. With the longer flame channel the 1/8" diameter is just about perfect, however the shorter flame channel of the plug CVA is selling, can benefit by being 5/32" diameter.

Yes, yes, this is just one old carpenter' opinion.
