Default Lapping compound

So with the Renegade build that's going to start soon, i decided to freshen up the .50cal barrel i got in a few days ago. It does show some soft pitting in the bore, but should still be a good shooter. Its hard to find a barrel for these and so im only out $50 if it doesn't do well.

Anyway, i did the jb bore paste treatment and steel wool treatment but the pitting still felt sharp. A thought hit me and so i grabbed some birchwood casey stock sheen and conditioner since it has a slight abrasive to it and it works like a charm! Very smooth when pushing a tight patch down the bore, some of the deeper pits you can feel a catch so i was thinking.

Wheeler engineering sells a 3 compound lapping kit with i believe 220 - 320 and 620gr compound.

Have of you lapped a bore with this stuff? Im thinking about lubing some Thors with it and shoot them out of it so i get a good seal with the pressure when the base of the bullet expands. I of course will clean it completely between shots.

I know i can't remove the pits but if i can just smooth out some of the deeper stuff that would be great.

Mainly wanting to shoot REAL conicals out of it until i fit the project 54cal barrel onto it for patched balls.
