There are many anti hunting and shooting movements out there. And while some of them claim they have good intentions.. the do not care who they step on to feed their agenda. They also scream loudly. And use public media to intimidate the representative of the people, that make the laws. One of the problems we as hunters face is ... people have refused to take responsibility for their actions. So in turn, the idea is.. blame someone else and punish or restrict them and everyone else.
I suppose that's another point of ignorance for me; growing up in a rural &
at the time actively agrarian locale, hunting was just a part of the natural order-I couldn't wait to be old enough for a Big game license.
Later I became aware of PETA, thought about it, and simply could not equate an ad clubbing a seal w/ hunting. Sadly, I disregarded PETA thereafter & even now cannot understand an
anti-hunting stance. They say prostitution is the oldest profession, but as a species we've been hunting for quite a while. Anti-hunting? We would not BE here at all without it!
So, my view of the natural order of things must obviously shift paradigms; the issues I felt bore no consideration surely must.
