For me a MLer and it's Camo Paint Job looks Good! but I doubt any animal has a clue how nice it looks or does'nt as the bullet is passing through him. Stuff wears out but as long as the Mler still does it's job that's all that matters. My MLer's are tools made to do a job, I'll take preformance and Bulls Eye's any day over Good Looks.
I have a buddy who has a TC Encore with a Walnut Stock, he never uses it when it's snowing or raining out, and is so afraid to scratch it that he'd rather just look at it than use it. To me his MLer is crying to be used insted of Loved.
My MLers go through it all, snow, rain, brush and briars, they look used and some absued, but they do ther job and love to be out Hunting.
A Factory Paint Job will always look better and last longer than any paint job you apply to your Mler, your's may look good for awhile but soon it will be right back to looking what it used to look like but even worse, I've been there. The MLer Manufactures have way better equiptment to apply the paint process then any of us will ever have, if you need a New Looking Stock then buy a new one.
Now dont get me wrong, I try and keep all My MLer's looking as new as possible and like there factory look, but after use it'll happen, there's no stopping it.
