as a land owner in upstate NY 50 acres that borders state land
i also take my land personally to have a place for my son, nieces and nephews to learn their way in the woods safely,
but would never impose a sunday ban on others so i can have piece of mind on sunday
if my family isnt safe on my land because of other hunters, i dont care what day of the week it is, their actions are a threat to my family whether its on sunday saturday or monday.

I can understand hikers and non hunters wanting safe haven while outdoors, there could be a compromise on that.
first education let non hunters know rifle season is fairly short in most states,
distance wise bow, shotgun, ML, are not that much of a threat,
also teach hunters to keep a further distance from maintained trails.
i often see hunters setting up right near a maintained trail when theres thousands of acres out of sight of the trail
