I have a Vanguard in a 7mm Rem. mag. and love it. I have a B&L 3000 3x9x50 mounted on it for about 5-6 years and it works fine. Since you are shooting a magnum, get a good quality scope. I would not hesitate to recommend a B&L 4200. They are clear, attract good light, take a pounding, and priced right.
