I have a centerfire that won't do 1"@100. My Omega will though, well it has at least twice. My .50 GPR flintlock will do 8" pie plates at 100 off the bench but I'd never hunt it that far out.
But really if your range is limited to 100 yds and less, a 4"group @100 is acceptable to me. If you are stretching it out to 200.... you would want that 100yd group as tight as possible cause an accurate 100 yd gun does not, necessarily, make an accurate 200 yd gun.
