The bow should have come with some type of info for the recommended brace height. This tells you to raise or lower the brace height when you first string the bow. Measure from the bottom of the arrow nock valley where it seats on the string to the deepest part of the grip (throat). Once you have this number in inches, you have a starting point. To raise or lower the brace height, you twist the string clockwise or counter clockwise until you get into the brace height range. As for the number of twists, it's by experimentation on your part.
