I didn't comment nor do I care what you own. What I commented on is you said this early on in this thread.
Look into the Bushnell Trophy XLT, $109 at Cabela's with a $30 mail in rebate, I got one for a 20ga as well
It's nothing wrong with putting a Bushnell on your gun if that's what you like. I just found it laughable that you'd consider Simmons garbage that you wouldn't put on one of your guns, but you'd put a Bushnell on one. It's your gun after all. Heck, I have a Tasco on one of my guns.
That said, I think Simmons has taken a drop off in quality since Bushnell took them over, but that's just my opinion. Everything I've owned from Bushnell or any of the companies they own with the exception of one Simmons scope and one Tasco has left me disappointed, and I've owned a couple of the Bushnell Elite scopes, so it's not all low end stuff. Actually I've owned more of their higher end stuff than I have lower end. However, a lot and I mean a lot of guys on here really like that Pro Diamond. I've almost bought one a few times since so many people have had good luck with them, and I'd certainly give it a try if I needed a cheap scope for my muzzle loader. I just can't really comment on that particular one since I've never owned it.
I feel like since the OP has $200 to spend though that he would be much better off with a Burris Fullfield II than any of the other cheaper options mentioned here, but that's also just my opinion. It also comes down to if he'd rather have a fixed power and $120-140 in his pocket, or a nice variable and not much of that $200 left over in his pocket as the two scopes obviously aren't anywhere near similar.
