The only complaints I have concerning the X-Bolt were the synthetic stock has that cheap, hollow sound to it and the bolt handle felt too small for my tastes. My X-Bolt was very accurate and was not picky with bullet weights.
IMO the M70 balances better, feels better and more rugged in my hands. It seems to be every bit as accurate as the X-Bolt but it seems to be a little picky with 140 grain bullets.
I would handle them both and go from there.
