I guess I should give all 3 calibers more of an "apples to apples" comparison.

If my favorite bullet weight in a .30-06 is a 165gr., I should probably compare a .270 Win. with a 140gr. and a .280 Rem. with a 150gr.

Just never have done much with short action calibers. Guess I'm just a long action fan.
