For that gun I would use either # 11 or Musket caps

do i use loose powder or pellets?
Loose powder is normally the best, a volume measure with a scrape off top like the TC Hunters Black Powder Measure- Cat. No. 7048 Start at 90 gr and work up in 10 gr increments:read your manual stay under the max load. Often they will group beat at 110 gr.

what do i use to measure powder with ?see above

is there a ez loader made for loose powder?TC Quick loader

what weight bullets would be best ? for deer 250 gr or 50/40 200 gr if long range is needed

what kind?Shock Waves are usually very accurate, I like the bonded ones for hunting [blue tip ] and the yellow tip for practice they will shoot the same. Other popular bullets the Lehigh, the Barns, the Deep Curls; The Deep Curls are the best buy dollar for dollar and a very good hunting bullet. The Shock Waves have been the easiest to get to group for me.

its has a tasco scope on it should i change it?? First check your mounts and rings to be sure they have not loosened if they have or do use blue loctite.
I would not change the scope unless it fails to hold POI.
It might as muzzle loaders are hard on scopes.
Bushnell and Nikon are more popular brands for holding up there are some others like Leopold some do well with.

sorry about the list of questions but i want to be as squared away as i can when i go to the range to start playing with it
thanks
