Bulider. That's one of 23 small plots we have scattered over 900 acres of pine tree plantation. This is a pretty dry sandy soil area in the "Florida Parishes" section of Louisiana. There's an intermittent creek/ditch that bisects the property and drains pasture land to the North of us. The creek has a few hardwoods along it, but not much.

A lot different than the semi arid public land i have to hunt. spent all day yesterday glassing over this high desert,including the area my friend shot this buck in this morning.are deer here are called so cal mule deer and this is a really nice buck for the area.
