About a year ago I began saving up for a .223/varmint/SHTF rifle. I eventually decided on the AR. The more I read about the mini the less appealing it became - which is a shame, I love the look of the "Ranch Rifle."

You will have more choices with the AR. Granted the initial purchase price is more than the mini but in the long run you will be happier.

To answer your question, no I have not shot the mini Target rifle.
