I've got an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter mounted with a red dot.
Going to hunt a side of the property that I've never hunted, in doing so I've switched to a Bushnell XLT with a 32mm objective.
I need the low light and long range accuracy that the red dot lacks.

Problem is the scope doesn't clear the hammer.
Do I get a taller base or taller rings, does it matter?
