So I take it you did not get one of the five elk tags Tennessee issued for the 2011 hunt! If you had I'm certain that .35 Rem would have done a fine job! i would think that a model 70 in 7mm Mag would not break the bank on these small eastern whitetails yet be sufficient to reach across the wide open to down an elk in either Colorado or Tennessee!
