I switched a few months before this last elk season and took a cow with them. She dropped 10 yards from where I hit her, and shooting over 40. I was skunked on the big mulie/blacktail this year, but if a carbon can drop an 800 pound elk, I am VERY confident it could handle any species of deer you could throw at me.

Some hunters gain a ton of confidence (myself included) with the added speed of carbons...granted, the difference is rather small and matters very little in the grand scheme of things, but if that's what it takes for you to shoot with an ego, then go for it!!!
