Actually, Buck Magnet posted a thread about some binocs but they were out of your price range. However, c903 posted about some good ones to be had for about $100 if I remember correctly.
Might I suggest either Barska or Brunton Lite-Tech 10 x 42s? Both are currently found at
www.sportsmansguide.com for under $150.
