Of course, I think you need another gun...I have a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 mag...Then it won't matter...
Stopping power is pretty much subjective. The FBI data is more then likely the best out there. Their data is from actual shooting. But if the .357 is the only gun you have, work with it. I would go with the heaviest bullet for in the woods and going against game.

Personally I carry my Ruger New Model BH in .44 special.
