Well 800yards across the fields i spot 3 does and 2 fawn coming out of a cornfield and into an open cut before the woods, so i watched them mill around and head up the hill into the woods, 2 minutes later more movement same spot, and out of the corn comes a nice thick 10 point followed by a 6. the 10 follows the does trail to the T and heads up the hill and the 6 splits off and heads over toward the hang-on stand i have up on that hill. then right before dark in the field i am in a 6 point comes out 100yrds up from me and continues away, while watching him a big 8 steps out of the same spot and into the field after him, now its just about black out, so i sneak down the field to get out without being seen and get to about 100 yards from where i seen them last, and here antlers smashing lol. so i listened for a while and continued out. Sorry for the long post havent posted in a while in here, just an update.
As a New Yorker, I can say that you had a good amount of action on monday!! Good luck to you! I've been sticking to the thick overgrown fields. There are not as many corn fields down this way. I walked in the house the other night at dark and went back out 10 minutes later to take garbage to the road and 20 yds. off my deck was a deer at the bird feeder! It must've stalked me home!!!
