Wow someone doesnt like smokeless! I shoot/hunt with smokeless (nula) now. Do u know what my average shot is? Under 40 yards which I dont even need a gun for I could just use my bow. I hunt thick mountain laurel and even in a treestand I'm lucky to see past 50 yards much less be able to pick spots to shoot through at that distance. I also have used sidelocks, whites/gonics for shooting those big heavy conicals at a whopping 1500 fps.

So what it really all boils down is I still pour my powder down the barrel, load my bullet from the muzzle, and primed my charge. And guess what? They all have a trigger that you pull to make them go boom so there is no difference really other than cleaning and speed (which dont help me one bit as stated above).

Tinkering with muzzleloaders is by far what I love to do the most no matter the type with archery a really close second. And Bob, in the very near future when Im in CO chasing those elk with my Gonic please dont look down on me for not using a flintlock
