Default More a captive audience

It's often not what we might choose as individuals, but what people generally buy and what stores stock.
I find myself checking to see if some items are still offered. A price you pay for getting older. And I'm older and knew a number of people in my hometown, mostly women, who worked in clothing factories. Those factories are long gone. There are items that worked thirty years ago, but got replaced by the scientific and the advanced.
I use some better military boots for warm weather hunting, but I still rely on an old blaze orange parka and some 40 year old shetland wool sweaters for some cold weather hunting. And the miracle isn't that the 40 year old sweaters still work to keep me warm. The miracle is the 40 year old sweaters, in this era of rapid weight gain, still fit.
