I'm not sure what your hunting situation is, but I can go hunting cheaper than going to the range.

Elk meat more than makes up for any costs in my case.

Keep the deer cool. Skin and quarter it out right where you shoot it. Fresh venison taste like beef to me. Grind it up and mix some pork with it. You should be able to find some way your wife will like it. If you do, she'll be kicking you out of the house to go hunting.
