Lightweight scope? Options?

Let's assume for a 6#10oz mtn.rifle in .300wsm
Also let's assume you may bump into grizzlies/brown bears.,

Actual magnifications are listed, except vx6, couldn't find exact specs.

The VX3 and VX6 would probably have the B&C reticle, the VX-II would have the long range reticle which is simply a crosshair and 2 dots at 300 and 400yds maybe.

I don't like dropping down to a VX2 from a VX3, and not sure the ultralight is really a weight savings/crucial?

and the vx6, better/bigger glass, awesome magnification range, 2-12x, even if it was actual of 2.5-11.5x still wider than the others, both low for those up close encounters, and high for those long shots, weighs more, but is it a who cares? it's worth it...?
