I have decided to take my Traditions Pursuit out with me on October 20, opening day of early muzzle loader season here in Maryland.
So I took it to the range today to make sure it was still sighted in.
The first 5 targets were shot with 2, 50 grain Pyrodex Pellets, and a 240 grain .45 cal. XTP in a Harvester smooth black sabot, fired with a Winchester Triple Se7en 209 primer.
Not too bad to start, but I don't know why it was hitting to the right.
Just warming up on this one (yea right)
I was adjusting the open sights on this target. I figured since I have a see thru scope mount on it I better make sure the sight are dialed in.
I suppose this will do at 50 yards if I have to use open sights.
Back to 100 yards.
And last but not least.
I wanted to try a different sabot so I went ahead and stuck a different bullet and sabot in to see what happens. The bullet was a 10 mm (40 cal), 185 grain XTP in a blue Harvester Crush Rib sabot, and 2, 50 grain Pyrodex Pellets touched off again with Winchester Triple Se7en 209 primers.
