I use BH209 and their website suggests to hand turn a drill bit in the flash channel to clean out any built up fouling to maximize the performance of the BH209. The BH website says that Thompson Center breech plugs have 1/8" diameter but I can't get a 1/8" drill bit to go into the flash channel.
Follow Endevorshooter's instructions, especially the part about going slowly.
If the 1/8" does not work for you at first - go to a smaller bit and keep working out until you get to the 1/8" channel.
