Does the number of rubs mean anything?
This past weekend a couple of buddies and I scouted out a new area we can hunt. In one area with a large number of oak trees and plentiful acorns lying around, there were probably 10-12 fresh rubs on saplings ranging from 1/2" diam up to 6" diam. These were all within a 50-75 square yard area.
Does this mean a potentially large number of bucks or just an overzealous few or one dominant one, or nothing at all except that there' s at least one buck there?
Thanks.
