If you are wanting a big cased 6mm that does hardly nothing over the 6mm rem., but burn a lot of powder, why waste your time with the 6-284 or the 6-06, just get a .244 H&H mag. It is made by necking the .375 H&H mag. down to a 6mm neck size and was possibly one of the biggest flops of all time. A classic example of a overbore cartridge, far to much powder capacity for bore size. Its performance was not significantly better than either the .243 or the 6mm rem., but it sure looks impressive and it will waste alot of powder and eat up barrels.
