I will chime in on the size issue......Ausie isn' t an XL anything so he' s not qualified to comment.

I guess I' m on the bubble myself between XL and 2XL (6' 3" 240lbs w/ a 34" inseam 36" waist) and I got the 2XL Vanish Pro ASAT based upon sleeve length and how wide my shoulders are (I hate when jacket wrists slide up when moving. )Well it' s BIG. Not toooooo big the jacket isn' t bad at all, but I can pull the pants up to my armpits and the cuffs are still at the ankles!
You should be more than safe with the 2XL.
I would probably actually need a 2XL top with a reg XL bottom....but it' s all good! Stuff looks great and I can layer to the moon underneath when it gets cold.

Not sure if you can mix and match pants/jacket?
