1. The reason I choose to hunt whitetails is because they are plentiful. There are lots of them running around. Also a deer backstrap will beat the best cow steak any day flavor wise any day plus it is a healthy lean meat.

2. It is beyond the description of words. You will never know until you have experienced it. There is a mix of appreciation for all of the wonderful things that God put on this planet, the birds, the rodents, the deer. When you are sitting within 10 feet of a wild animal there is nothing else like it. You have a great since of accomplishment knowing that you got that close to it and it never knew you were there. There is nothing else like watching to fawns still in spots romping and playing in there natural setting. If you have ever seen a national geographic many hunters have experienced and witnessed much more powerful things first hand than many people who only know about animals from books. Nothing can replace the peace of watching two little bucks testing their horns in a friendly joust or watching two mature bucks in deep combat each trying to beat the other physically. There are few things that can make you laugh harder than the comedies of nature, such as watching a million sparrows chase off a red tail hawk. Or watching a young coyote chasing a butterfly. There are few things has beautiful as watching the sun come up in the morning and the world around you waking up, or watching the sky turn to a deep crimson and every color imaginable as the sun sets. If you really want to get close to nature there are few ways to get closer than thru the eyes of a hunter. Most of us can tell you more about the smallest of creatures in the woods than your current science teacher could ever imagine knowing. Sorry for this being so long but these are all of the things that I feel when I am hunting deer or any creature for that matter. Plus many more but I figure this will do for now.

3. The body is gutted and then hauled to the local butcher, or for some people it is home processed. Many people also donate the meat to a needy family or the Hunters for the Hungry program.

4. Every chance I get, and I do not have a favorite season any time you are out getting away from reality it is a good time. If you kill an animal it is just icing on the cake I have came home empty handed on more than one occasion and been just as happy as if I did not kill an animal.

I hope this helps sorry for the longevity but I got on a roll and just had a hard time stopping.
