Heres something I did awhile back when I first got into making my own camera arms...
I took one of my small digital cameras that has film on it and I took a small angle iron and screwed it into my stabalizer threads and then screwed my camera right onto the angle iron. It worked awesome and very cheap if you already have the camera.
