For the most part I would say that as long as you ware safety glasses and won't get excited over a small bump or cut you can shoot what you like. I would consider it dangerous to shoot 209 in an open breach gun with out safety glasses in fact I ware safety glasses when ever I shoot.
Lee. safety glasses while shooting any type weapon should always be worn.the only time i have ever been hit with anything was shooting my renegade and it in fact was a piece of cap. my brother in law who i shot with quite a bit was also hit with a piece of cap while shooting his hawkins.i will say i have never been hit with anything while shooting a plunger style rifle.IMHO more people are hit with flying objects by side locks than plunger guns. so does this mean the poster is going to test side locks also? or that they should be re designed? your point is well taken and i hope mine is as well.the problem here is not flying objects, but the poster constantly bringing up topics to intentionally inflame people.also the word flash mob has been used in this thread and doesn't apply in any way to this thread, since people are not being brought over here from other forums.in fact there are a large number(not just a few) of members here who choose not to openly confront anyone let alone the poster, yet find him offensive none the less.the fact he has lost the ability to post on another forum (i am sure there are more) is a good indication that WCW hit the nail on the head..like it or not!!
