Twist Rate
Nothing will happen until this coming spring, but I'm thinking about going with a custom barrel for the Pro Hunter. Not sure if I'm going to go with .45 or .50, but what would you all consider the optimal twist rate for either? I would like something to shoot both saboted and conicals, though I'll probably shoot more saboted than conicals. I'm thinking 1 in 28" is probably pretty close to the best for .50, but not sure about .45. I'm thinking probably 1 in 20"?
So, if you were going to have your own barrel made, what twist rate would you want? And while we're at it, what length would you go with?
