My Dad and I drew non-res west river special buck tags this year and will be hunting the Lodgepole area in Perkins county. I was reading that last winter was really rough on the deer herd in Montana and the Dakotas, but hopefully we'll find a couple decent bucks. My dad has never hunted out west, so I'm excited for him to get a crack at a good mulie. I shot a mulie buck in Montana in 04 and will likely set my sights on a decent whitetail buck. I'm getting more stoked by the day!

Any SD hunters here that hunt that area in the northwest corner of the state?
