You might want to double check your dates. The WSM's were introduced in 2001, the WSSM's following in 2003. The .270 WSM came in for the 2002 model year, and the .25 WSSM came in for 2004. So no, the WSSM's aren't 20yrs old.

To my knowledge, the .270 WSM isn't chambered in any current production models (or maybe I'm mistaking the 7mm WSM, but ONE of them was dropped). Unlike the .300 WSM and 7mm WSM, the .270 was released in 2002, so it rose and fell in about 7-8yrs. No worries for guys that shoot the .270 WSM, there's still plenty of .300 WSM brass to neck down, or 7mm WSM brass to neck up.

Of course, this is a reload only proposition, but the only brass out there is from Winchester (kinda sucks), but if the entire line gets scrapped, it'll be harder and harder to find brass.

But then again, I'll be rebarrelling again long before the supply of brass would run dry, so swapping out to something else won't break my heart (unless I fall in love with the .243 WSSM between now and then of course).
