RE: Should I Switch From Expandable Back To Fixed Broadheads?
I shot a 120 lb doe recently with a mechainical broadhead. It was launched by an old PSE with a 50# draw weight. At 30 yards, it went right through the deer' s body and messed up the liver pretty bad. I spent 2 hours looking for that arrow to no avail. I like mechanicals because they seem to shoot good for me and also because I saw a bowhunter once who cut up his leg pretty good with a conventional head. (I know, stupidity is not a good reason). I just feel mechanicals are a little safer to handle for some people.
