You scent is probably gone but that is not the reason why I will leave an area alone for a while.

If a buck was using that area on a regular basis than he surely ran into your scent that day or the day after.

How long until he feels confident it was a one time intrusion and the area is safe again? - now that is the question

Maybe three days maybe ten - maybe never - who knows.
