They come with standard inserts, but if he needed offset ones you have to buy them separately. I love these rings, they really work great and are solid, while eliminating the need to lap them, eliminating ring marks, and you can change inserts if you need more adjustment from the scope. That said, that isn't a super great price, but it's not bad either. The first set I got on sale from Optics Planet for like $29 and then I bought a $1 cleaning brush to get it to $30 for free shipping. I see they no longer have them at that price, so the next cheapest I found is my local gunshop that sells them for $32.
