rafsob that is true. The male will kill the cubs to bring the female back into heat. But the male bear is a strange animal. I have had two close proximity encounters with bear, and to this day they still bother me. A good rule of thumb.. you see a bear make a lot of noise and go the other way. Now a sow and cubs is dangerous, no doubt. When I spot a cub, I back out of there real fast.

The trick to cooking bear is every little speck of bear fat has to be removed before you cook that thing. Also roasting over fire is the best and only way I want to eat it. It also makes real good sausage.
