Default RE: Cow or Bull tag???

Cee-Jay-Dub: Colorado elk regs change like the breeze. You' ll have to wait out the Commissions' decisions for next year. Go to the CDOW website and sign up for e-mail updates. (they won' t put you on any junk lists or share your info) When you apply, make your most preferred first choice and check your second option on the app as indicated. Keep in mind that additional cow tags could be available as well. An either sex tag is usually considered the " money" tag as it gives you flexibility. Most non-residents want a bull tag because they put out a fair chunk of change, and for many it may be a once in a lifetime trip and they want that 350+ bull to hang on the wall. Those boys are few and far between and without a great deal of good fortune, it won' t happen. There is no shame in taking a cow, and at your first sitting before a nice thick medallion of loin from a fat cow, you will easily forgive yourself fornot trying for a bull. Bottom line: No matter what kind of tag you hold, you will carry home priceless memories from a hard hunt in one of the most stunning places on the face of the planet. Good Luck!
