My Accura 45 shot the 300gr PB Plat, PR Ultimate Tipped 360gr and the Hornady 285 GP fairly good. It preferred the 300gr PB Plat that is discontinued IIRC. Shot at a low fps it is probably fine but avoid heavy loads. If you really want to shoot lead conical 45s...get a White. Almost nothing will match them with cheap subs and cheap lead.
Why not try sabotless? all they need is a couple sizing dies or one expensive Swinglock adjustable die. A 1-28 twist should shoot upto a 250gr ok with a heavy amount of BH209. Parker 250gr BEs are one of the easiest to get fitted and shooting well. In a 50cal the bullet selection isnt a problem for sabotless but sizing dies are an issue. Faster twists like 1-24 make it much easier too. Slow twist like my Knight 45 are a PITA and a 225gr is about max sabotless.
GM, i want a rifle that is being made now and i may need something for later on.next best thing to a white is a Knight lol. my lil wolverine .50 cal shoots 460 gr connies excellent. and i think you know the 45 cal 1:30 Knights shoot 330 -380 gr connies with excellent accuracy also..if a 1:25 45 cal CVA will shoot connies like a knight, i would be all over it.Ray
