I had to put up a new stand in Clifton. Went over there to put up my trail camera and a huge tree fell right on my stand. Snapped the platform right in half. I just go back from putting up the new hangon. A tip that I used today that may help you all. The stand I put was heavy so I bought a rope ratchet system from Lowe's that uses a 3/8" rope. Climbed up on my ladder, screwed in a tree step and hung the ratchet. I was able to pull up the stand and when it got to the right height I was able to use both hands to strap it to the tree. The rope ratchet locks so I didn't have to hold the stand while trying to strap it on. They sell kits similar to this (HS Outdoors) but was able to get the same thing for half the price. The rope ratchet was $10 at Lowes and 3/8" rope was $5-7. Worked really well.
