Hmm, I wonder if they raised the price up on these then. Ours normally only has muzzle loading stuff right before muzzle loading season and shortly after muzzle loading season ends they put it all on clearance including the guns. Most of it sold out pretty quickly, but they had that Optima, and one other gun that I think was the CVA Buckhorn or something like that which just didn't sell. They remained on clearance for and one the shelf for quite a while. I'm talking 6-7 months. This was really the only muzzle loading things they had and all of the accessories were gone. However, I haven't been in there to look in the last month or so, so if they started putting the muzzle loading stuff back on the shelf again, they probably raised the price of this thing back up to normal.

One of the Walmarts also had a T/C Impact for quite a while after the season ended and I almost bought it too. I really felt for the price that it seemed like a really nice gun. The only thing that stopped me from buying it was that I don't want another muzzle loader with a blued barrel. I only want the stainless from now on.

The Omega they have, I wanted, and I had decided if I found it on clearance at the end of last year I was going to buy it even though it wasn't the stainless barrel like I wanted. However, as soon as I saw the guns go on clearance at our local Walmart, they were sold out, and I went to quite a few others in the area to find all but one was sold out, and the one that wasn't sold out didn't have that one on clearance like the rest of them. I'm not sure why they went so fast, but after thinking about it more I decided it must just not be meant to be. I eventually want to upgrade to one with a stainless barrel, but I figure what I have now works.
