Put a good size target out at 100 yards and take a shot (#1). Then adjust the elevation three inches up and take another shot (#2). Then adjust the windage three inches right and take another shot (#3). Then adjust the elevation three inches down and take another shot (#4). And finally, adjust the windage three inches left and take another shot (#5). Keep the same point of aim for all shots.
The shots should have formed a square of about three inches with #1 & #5 at the lower left corner, #2 at the upper left, #3 at the upper right, and #4 at the lower right. If it does that, the scope is tracking accurately.
If you have ammo to burn, take two or three shots at each position, or go around the square twice.
