What type of feeders are you wanting to make? If you are wanting to make an automatic one, You' ll be hard pressed to make a decent one for less than 70-80 bucks or so. We make our own and by the time we are done, we have about 130 bucks in each one. We typically pay the following:

You can knock off about $15.00 if you decide to not go with the solar panel and the rechargeable battery.
