I tried the same thing. There was a Lyme Specialist in Missouri that i went to. His approach was to use long term antibiotics to get rid of it. He would start you on one and if you felt better after 3 months you would stay on it or try another one. When you found the one that worked and made you fell better, you stayed on it for 6 months or more.
I never did find one that made me feel better so i stopped going after about the 4th one. Too far of a drive and too expensive. He did have alot of people that said his tactics work. Just not for me. Regular MD's consider doctors like that quacks and sometimes do whatever they can to get them shut down.
I think i had it for 12 years before going to him. Thats how long i had my very bad head and neck pain. I had some years that were worse than others. It may be in remission now because i haven't had any of those symptoms for quite a few years. Thank god. Alot of pepole are wheelchair ridden for the rest of their lives or die on the spot from heart problems. It affects everyone differently.
