I like to be in an hour before first light, but it depends on where I am hunting. Generally the earlier the better. Your activity is less disturbing and noticeable, it gives you a chance to settle in and the woods to relax from your entrance. You are more likely to see a deer the earlier you are, just as you are less likely to the later you are.
