Okay....I know a lot of you are going to disagree with me, but remember this is MY OPINION, as well as, several others opinions of carbon suites abilities.

I was sitting in my API Grand Slam climber the other night and about 20 minutes before sunset I catch movement in a creek bottom. There was a 5-10 mph South wind and I am positioned 50 yards North of the creek bottom. At first I think that maybe it is a doe. No.......it is the BIGGEST, FATTEST Coyote I have ever seen!! Obviously Mature.

The coyote was approaching my stand from DIRECTLY down wind. I was nervous because I knew if my scent was even faintly present, this fella would pick me up and high tail it out of there. I was really hope to get a shot at this guy because I suspect he is responsible for approx. 10 Guinea deaths last month (may have been why he was soo fat).

He stopped on a knoll about 40 yards DIRECTLY north of me and checked the air. It was really cool to watch this majestic creater. From the way he was turning his head, I just knew he was getting ready to break into a song at any moment. He didn' t. Anyway, he worked towards me and all around me for about 10 minutes and never knew I was there!! I never did get a shot at him. I was hunting a new location and it is pretty thick. I only have a few shooting lanes and he was just outside of one of them.

Note: I was approximately 13-14 feet off the ground (due to a large limb on the tree that I didn' t want to cut this late in the season). He approached my stand from Due North and I had a 5-10 mph South wind. I was wearing a ScentBlocker Leafy Suit, Scentlok hat with built-in hood, and scentlock gloves. I take extreme measures to stay scent free, therefore, everything I had with me had been washed and stored in scent free containers.

I don' t know how much proof everyone needs to get a carbon suite, but I can tell you that it has proven it' s effectiveness to me numerous times. Most of you know that the wiley coyote has ONE of the keenest nose' s in the woods.

I am not arguing their longevity, simply their effectiveness! I don' t know how long the last, only time will tell. What I can tell you is that if I start getting busted again with one of my older suites, I will replace it with another.
